I don't remember the Democrats completely shutting Republicans out when THEY were in control of Congress. The GOP, however, is not nearly so fair-minded. And they will go to whatever lengths they deem necessary to push through their agenda. Scary. Lisa :-]
If the Democrats in the Senate don't stand up and fight, we will see this President roll our country back to the dark ages.
