Yeah -- that NY Times piece was appalling. Bumiller just kissed his ass. I can't believe the smarmy crap that passes for journalism. What the hell are they thinking?
Bumiller writes about Bush making an innappropriate comment about a female reporter's "great eyes", and the point of the comment is to commend the guy for loosening up! Maybe in a strip club he could get away with that, but I would guess the woman doing the interview had hopes of being taken seriously...
And Bumiller, herself a reporter without a prayer of being taken seriously, praises the President for his impish attitude.
I hope her fellow reporters and the editors at the Times start telling her about her legs, eyes, whatever, whenever they see her impish face around the office.
Maybe Bush could tell her she is pretty on national TV, so we could all watch her blush with pleasure.

I must raise my voice in protest over this image. I find it very, very insulting to poor, misunderstood, underappreciated GOLUM. I mean here is this pathetic outcast Hobbit, whom, I should remind you, successfully held onto the RING for eons. Granted he was no Francis Assisi, but while it was in his grubby possession, he did prevent the RING from falling into the wrong hands. Does he get respect? Does he get sympathy? No, I tell you, he gets abused! I'm reporting you to the GOLUM Abuse Center. This image is the ultimate insult!!!
i know, i KNOW, Tim, and i thought of that, i really did - Golem abuse. It isn't right, it IS deeply insulting, but i don't know....i guess the devil made me do it.
